Carnival Monday Gras,
with the Giants Dominica, Dominica, and Dominicus
Dominicienne
Formerly, the parties and
the municipal administration held each year on Monday Gras, a cavalcade, with
the assistance of local companies and many transvestites and masks.
In 1902,
the administration wanted to expand the festivities that were attached to Easter
Monday.
The company musical "The Concorde" decided to maintain the tradition
and continue the output of Monday Gras. She built a mascot, a giant, named
Dominique, who was received with much fanfare on his arrival at the station.

local festivities took hands in organizing this trip.
Since 1902, except
for interruptions of two world wars, the family sort Dominica twice a year: on

Why is the first giant of Jemappes be named Dominique?

Description
Dominica and Dominica have a height of about 3 meters, Dominicus, 2 meters, 2.3
meters Dominicienne. They consist of carcasses rattan, surmounted by a head
