The Royal Gilles of Jemappes
HISTORY
The company is the oldest in the town, it was founded in 1921. She participated
in the carnival for children from Monday Gras (soumonces General Release of all
groups of gilles) and the great cavalcade of Easter weekend. The company is
better known as "the CAGNOT", the nickname of its founder.
Gilles Royals are
the only company of Jemappes burning bumps on Tuesday of Easter on the main
square.
The holding soumonces output consists of a white shirt, red tie, red
cap, white pants.

Days and times cash: Sundays from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
SUBSCRIPTIONS
_ Gilles for adults: € 4.50 per week
children under
12 years: € 3.50 per week.
The fee includes music and impertaintaille for all outputs, the costume
of Gille, insurance and registration fees. The fantasy costume, the hat
of Gille, oranges, basket, shoes, the ramon, caps and white scarf,
holding soumonces are not included.
Girls are allowed until the age
of 13.
Only the cross on Easter Sunday: men or children (boy or girl)
under 13 years: 25 €.
Starting from this year 2009, women enrolled in gilles
society have the right to dress and participate in the cavalcade of Sunday in
the group, amounting to € 25.
_ Donzelle (misses) for adults: € 4.50 per week
children under 12 years: € 4 per week.
The fee includes the music and
dress for all outputs, insurance and registration fees.
